Audrey Hepburn was somewhat of an unlikely movie star. She did not fit the conventional idea of beauty at the time and in fact, she was known in Hollywood as the “Anti-Marilyn”! In Some Like it Audrey we look at the girl behind the icon and discover a remarkable story of resilience, tenacity and style.

This unique show features music from the Golden Age of Hollywood as well as classical tunes that link Audrey to her time growing up in the war and her broken dreams of becoming a prima ballerina. There will also be a special nod to her iconic wardrobe so concert goers are encouraged to wear their “Audrey Best!

Emer Barry, soprano is the producer of Some Like it Audrey. A lifelong fan of Audrey Hepburn, the singer is delighted to bring her story to life through music and stories about the icon. Emer is an internationally acclaimed soprano with a Masters in Music from the college of music and has performed as a soloist with both the RTE concert Orchestra and the NSO. She tours USA regularly with her Some Like it Audrey co-stars Mary McCague (violin) and Teresa O’Donnell (Harp) under the name Everdream and to this date they have completed 9 sold out tours of the Pacific Northwest USA. Moon River is one of their signature tunes on tour!
